Xbox One X: Welcome To The Xbox Family

Today Microsoft started their briefing with the official unveiling of the Xbox One X, previously known as Project Scorpio. The system seems to have a sleek matte black finish that is smaller than the Xbox One S. Here are more of the specs:

  • 8-Core Custom AMD CPU clocked at 2.3GHz
  • 12GB GDDR5 graphic memory
  • 6 Teraflop GPU
  • 326 GB/sec memory bandwidth
  • Liquid Cooling
  • 8 GB Flash memory
  • 1TB HDD Storage

This beast offers True 4K gaming, HDR support, DolbyAtmos, DTS:X, and 4K DVR support. The system is compatible with Xbox One accessories so if you own extra controllers there will not be a need to purchase new ones. All Xbox One games, including those 360 games compatible with Xbox One, will be compatible and even perform better in comparison to the Xbox One S.

The console will be available on November  7, 2017 and have a price tag of $499. This is $100 dollars more than the Playstation 4 Pro. The new Xbox is a bit meatier than the PS4 Pro but will the extra price scare consumers away and if not will this help Microsoft  narrow large sales gap that Playstation has on them?
